Nova Health Co was established in 2021 by Dr Trudi Beck and Dr Carl Henman. It was born via a shared vision to provide innovative and holistic services that enhance the health and wellbeing of women. Where women can access high quality, evidence-based services, via a team of like-minded professionals that collaborate to achieve the best outcomes. We opened the doors to our purpose-built clinic in October 2022 and continue to grow our extensive list of individual health care services, groups and workshops.

Our Directors
Dr Trudi Beck
After being born and raised in rural NSW, Trudi moved to Sydney and completed her medical degree at UNSW.
After graduating with honours, she met and married a fellow junior doctor Chris and they moved around the region for specialist training. In 2016 they permanently relocated to Wagga and enjoy life on a small farm with their 3 children.
Professionally Trudi now splits her time between Nova Health Co and obstetrics at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, where she has provided intrapartum care since relocating here.
Her passion for seeing families thrive encouraged her to become a Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2019 and a Possums Accredited NDC Practitioner. She now practices with a style heavily influenced by Possums & Co Neuroprotective Developmental Care.
Trudi enjoys all aspects of women’s health and early life care and has a holistic approach to assisting women and their families flourish. She enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team and utilises all the services Nova has to offer in assisting her patients meet their goals.

Dr Carl Henman
After completing his medical degree Dr Henman worked as a GP Obstetrician for approximately 9 years. Over that time he delivered about 1000 babies!
Prior to commencing his medical studies in 2003 he spent 10 years in Medical Imaging, specialising in ultrasound.
He also has sub-specialty training in ultrasound assessment of pregnancy and gynaecologic conditions.
At Nova Health Co, Dr Henman reports and/or performs your ultrasound and liaises with either the in-house team or your external referrer regarding the results.
If the unfortunate situation should arise where your pregnancy is regarded as high-risk or your baby is suspected of having an abnormality, Dr Henman has established relationships with multiple tertiary fetal medicine units. Hence you can keep a local presence in your journey even if you have to attend a larger centre for further management.

Dr Carla Flynn
Dr Carla is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) with postgraduate training in child health (Diploma of Child Health). She has a special interest in child health and development, women’s health, and menopause care.
As a Tuning in to Kids facilitator, Dr Carla integrates evidence-based emotional connection and communication strategies into her clinical approach, supporting families to build stronger relationships and promote children’s wellbeing.
She is passionate about providing holistic, compassionate care that empowers patients through every stage of life.

Dr Sofia Dominguez
Sofia grew up in Melbourne before relocating to Wagga Wagga over 10 years ago to complete her Medical studies at Wagga Wagga Base and Calvary Hospitals. After working within the hospital system she commenced General Practice training and has loved forming longstanding connections with her regular patients and the community. Sofia has pursued many interests within medicine including surgery and procedural skills, medical education, agricultural health, obs & gynae and paediatrics, recently completing the Sydney Child Health Program. She has particularly enjoyed helping rural woman with all aspects of Women’s specific healthcare and provides shared antenatal care with WWBH. She is currently undertaking further studies in vulval disease.
Sofia believes her varied experience living and working within the Riverina helps her connect with patients and provide high quality, respectful health care to her whole community. She has a young family and her boys, Maxi and Freddie, keep her busy outside of work.
Dr Sally Johnson
Dr. Sally Johnson is a dedicated GP obstetrician based in Wagga Wagga, with a strong passion for providing women-centred care. Having completed her university studies and junior doctor training in Wagga, she has firmly established herself within the local medical community.
Sally’s commitment to women’s health extends beyond her GP and obstetric work. She serves as the Clinical Coordinator of BreastScreen Murrumbidgee, where she plays a vital role in improving breast cancer screening services for the region. Additionally, she is the Lead Clinical Editor for the Primary Health Network’s HealthPathways team, helping to develop evidence-based resources that support healthcare professionals in delivering best-practice care.
Outside of work, Sally enjoys cooking, wrangling her children, and talking (perhaps a little too much) about knitting.
Dr Chandelle Whitfield
Delle is a GP who relocated to the Riverina with her young family in 2022 after first being introduced to Wagga to work as a junior doctor over 15 years ago. She is passionate about sexual and reproductive health and is currently completing a Masters through the University of Sydney. Delle endeavours to ensure women feel heard and enjoys supporting women with period management, contraceptive advice including Implanon and IUD insertion and removal as well as perimenopause and menopause management.

Dr Priya Vadivel
Priya is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) with advanced skills training in obstetrics and gynaecology (DRANZCOG) and a special interest in women’s health.
Originally trained as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in India and the UAE, Priya moved to Australia in 2019 and has worked across regional New South Wales before settling in Wagga Wagga with her family.
She enjoys caring for women through all stages of life, from adolescence to menopause and beyond. Her areas of interest include pregnancy and postnatal care, contraception, menstrual concerns, menopause management, preventive health, and chronic disease care. She also performs procedures including Implanon, Mirena and Copper IUCD insertion and removal, as well as vulval and skin biopsies.
Alongside her work at Nova Health Women’s Clinic, Priya continues to work in the local maternity service, providing intrapartum care and supporting women through labour and birth.
Known for her warm and approachable nature, Priya takes the time to listen and ensure her patients feel comfortable, informed, and supported in their healthcare journey.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys yoga, Bharatanatyam, travelling, and spending time with her family.

Simone Francis
Simone is a highly experienced sonographer with 16 years of expertise in ultrasound imaging. Her professional journey started with her initial training as a radiographer and subsequent employment at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. Her passion for the field prompted her to undergo further training, leading to her specialisation in sonography.
Simone has gained extensive experience in all aspects of ultrasound, but has a particular interest in obstetrics. Her dedication and enthusiasm for obstetric ultrasound has grown over the years, and she loves providing a local service to patients.
For the past several years, Simone has been collaborating with Dr. Carl Henman to offer an obstetric tertiary ultrasound service to patients in the Riverina. This experience has enabled her to offer specialised care within the community.
Jacqueline McDonald
Jacqueline graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Imaging) in 2003 and began her career as a radiographer with I-MED (Wagga Medical Imaging). After several years in radiography, she transitioned into ultrasound and has now worked as a sonographer for over 17 years.
She joined Nova in September 2025 and enjoys being part of the team, providing high-quality care to women throughout their pregnancy and women’s health journeys.
Outside of work, Jacqueline spends time with her husband and three children. She enjoys spending her weekends supporting her children at their various sporting activities.

Amy Gow
Amy has 15 years’ experience in women’s health and maternity care, having worked in the public hospital system, in private obstetrics and gynaecology and now primary health. Amy provides midwifery care to pregnant women and supports families with babies up to 12 months old with feeding, sleep and mood/mental health concerns. Breastfeeding support, sleep optimisation and assisting families with adjustment to life with a newborn are Amy’s main role and she enjoys helping families overcome these challenges using a gentle, evidence-based approach.

Anna Campbell
Anna began her career as a Nurse in emergency before becoming a Midwife 12 years ago. Working alongside and holding space for women during pregnancy, birth and postnatal period has become her greatest passion. In recent years she has become a lactation consultant and possums trained and loves nothing more than helping women navigate the early months of parenting. Outside of work you will find Anna going on bush walks – or anything outdoors with her husband and 3 kids, reading books and making anything sourdough!

Amanda Hahn
Amanda has been in the health industry for 9 years now. Amanda has worked in both the private and public health sector in both nursing and midwifery care, and now also in primary care. You will find Amanda mainly working in the Wagga Base Maternity unit then with us one day a week. Amanda’s main role is supporting our mums & babies in the matrescence period through our mums and bubs groups. Amanda has experienced first hand how challenging this period can be and having been apart of our first ever Nova mums & bubs group, Amanda has a great passion to provide the education and support she received.
Amanda has also recently launched our Paediatric First Aid program we have had in the works for 12 months now. We are so excited to bring this to you, providing you and your loved ones with the confidence to provide first aid, CPR and escalate injuries and illnesses appropriately.

Rachel Fisher
Rachel has been a midwife for 14 years and still loves every moment of supporting families as they grow. She began her studies and early career in Canberra before settling in Wagga Wagga 12 years ago. Rachel is excited to be part of the wonderful team at Nova, where she enjoys providing holistic midwifery care to women and families throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period. Alongside her work at Nova, Rachel continues working part‑time at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, primarily in the antenatal clinic. Rachel is passionate about walking alongside parents through every stage of their parenting journey, and cares deeply about the mental health and wellbeing of mums, dads and caregivers.

Peta Anderson
Peta Anderson is a highly experienced nursing professional with over 30 years in the healthcare field. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing and several graduate certificates, including Midwifery, Immunisation, and Neonatal Nursing, from Charles Sturt University and the Australian College of Nursing.
Throughout her extensive career, Peta has made substantial contributions to women’s and children’s health in various healthcare settings. Her experience includes roles at Gosford Hospital, the NICU at the Royal Hospital for Women, and maternity wards at Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Calvary Riverina. Peta has also shared her expertise as a guest lecturer at Charles Sturt University, focusing on Maternal and Child Health and as the Clinical Programs and Emergency Response manager at Murrumbidgee PHN.
Currently, Peta serves as the lead midwife at the Nova Health Co Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic, where she is dedicated to advancing women’s health, providing support for women experiencing conditions such as endometriosis, persistent pelvic pain, painful periods affecting daily life, pelvic floor dysfunction, and symptoms related to perimenopause and menopause.
As a mother of four, Peta combines her personal experiences with her professional commitment, driving her passion for enhancing community health outcomes.
Tiffanie Kendall
Tiff is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist with over 15 years experience. She is a certified fertility, pregnancy and postpartum dietitian with a special interest in women’s health, gastrointestinal nutrition and behaviour change.
She supports clients with a range of nutrition concerns and conditions, including endometriosis, PCOS, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), other gastrointestinal disorders, fertility, pregnancy, diabetes and chronic disease. She also enjoys helping people build sustainable eating habits and improve their relationship with food.
In addition to her experience as an APD, Tiff has a keen interest in pregnancy, birth and group education. She is a childbirth educator and certified prenatal and postpartum yoga instructor. At Nova Health Co, she delivers Nova’s own birth education program, as well as yoga classes for pregnancy and women’s health.

Kate Pryor
Kate has over 12 years of experience working as a teacher in early childhood, primary school and secondary school settings. Over the last six years, and since becoming a mum, Kate has focussed her attention on working with families around connection and attachment with their children. Along with her understanding of child development, Kate has completed additional training in evidence-based programs and approaches to promote parent wellbeing and enhance parent-child connection, including Tuning in to Kids Facilitator training; Coaching; Neuroprotective Developmental Care (Possums approach) for Educators; Mother Goose; and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy strategies. Kate loves talking with families, reflecting on their unique needs and story, and she is looking forward to working with you to find the parenting rhythm that works for your family. You’ll also find Kate delivering the ‘Starting Solids’ and ‘Parenting at Mealtimes’ workshops, exploring parenting and family connections through food.

Alana Higgins
If you’ve ever wondered who keeps the many moving parts of Nova Health Co connected, chances are you’re looking for Alana.
As Practice Manager, Alana works behind the scenes to bring together the people, systems, and ideas that help Nova deliver exceptional care. From strategic planning and business operations to patient experience, marketing, recruitment, HR, and financial management, she plays a key role in ensuring the practice continues to grow while remaining true to its values.
With extensive experience in small business management and more than a decade working within healthcare, Alana brings a strong understanding of what it takes to build and sustain high-performing teams and services. She is passionate about creating innovative healthcare programs, improving access to care, and ensuring patients receive an experience that is both compassionate and seamless.
Much of what makes Nova unique has been shaped through Alana’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. She works closely with practitioners and administration teams to develop new services, refine patient pathways, strengthen operational systems, and create opportunities for professional growth.
Outside of Nova, Alana is a mother of five and understands the realities of balancing busy lives, competing priorities, and the importance of having a healthcare team you can trust.
Often describing herself as the “mother of Nova,” Alana is deeply invested in the practice’s people, culture, and future. She believes that exceptional patient care starts with exceptional teams and is passionate about fostering a workplace where people feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work.
Her favourite part of Nova? Seeing bold ideas become meaningful services, supporting the growth of the team, and helping create a practice that continues to raise the standard of healthcare for women and families in our community.
